The plot: A couple (Anikka Albrite and Mick Blue) bring their now college-age babysitter (Sara Luvv) with them on a vacation to the Florida Keys. Soon, leisurely fun in the sun will give way to a sly game of seduction!
Origins: The movie is based on the bestselling 2008 book by Selena Kitt. The novel is known for its provocative family roleplay-style plot and explicit sex scenes that outdo 50 Shades.
Memorable scenes: Babysitting the Baumgartners boasts an impressive 12 scenes, but scenes three through six stand out. The sequence finds Albrite and and Luvv engaging in some sensual teasing (including an erotic moment where Albrite shaves Luvv’s intimate parts) before allowing things to heat up even more in the bedroom.
Quotable: “I’ve been approached before about making my books into adult films, but I’ve never felt right about it until now. Why now? Because it’s in the hands of Kay Brandt, who has won awards for directing adult films, and Adam & Eve, a long-standing brand I know and trust.” (author Selena Kitt, quoted in PRNewswire)
Scene breakdown: boy/girl/girl (5), boy/girl (3); girl/girl (3), solo (1)
Director’s chair: The movie is helmed by Kay Brandt, who has also directed for New Sensations and Filly Films. She has been nominated for AVN, XBIZ and XRCO awards. “I’d imagined it as a film from the first time I read Babysitting the Baumgartners,” Brandt said at the time of the movie’s release. “The characters are very real in the book and the story delivers a multitude of passionate and emotional scenes. It’s perfect material for an adult feature film.”
The critics said: “It’s the kind of adult entertainment worth brandishing at critics who say porn celebrates titillation, degradation and coercion. Yet at the same time it’s not afraid to give porn fans what they want: beautiful bodies fucking with athleticism, stamina and grace.” (Iris Blocks, AVN)
Sequel: The movie was followed by Adventures of the Baumgartners, available on Sugar PPV.
