The plot: Known for its previous incarnations as a Disney movie, TV show, and French cinema classic, the Beauty and the Beast fairy tale is finally given the proper porn treatment. The story finds a beautiful young woman (Dani Daniels) imprisoned by the moody, misunderstood Beast (Xander Corvus) in his magical castle. They slowly fall in love, but can passion conquer the curse of the Beast?
Origins: The movie was developed and shot in 2014 but did not see full release until 2016, due to the amount of elaborate special effects works required. (AVN)
Memorable scene: It’s no spoiler to say that Beauty and Beast consummate their desires by movie’s end, in a passionate scene that shows wonderful chemistry between Daniels and Corvus. It also doesn’t hurt that the cinematography in the sequence is styled in a classic fairy tale manner. (Starts at timecode 01:02:04.)

Director’s chair: The movie was directed by Harry Sparks, who also helmed Revenge of the Petites for AMK. “I wanted to go back to the original. Darker than some of the versions since then. The version I’m using has Beauty and her two sisters and the father. They lost all their money, and when they found one of his ships, that’s his motivation for going out to the Beast’s lair,” Sparks told AVN of Beauty and the Beast XXX.
The critics said: “Beauty and the Beast XXX isn’t as good as Sparks’ earlier adult masterpiece Revenge of the Petites, however, it is a fun adult fantasy movie that entertains the viewer with a fun story and some nice looking and varied sex scenes.
