Why to watch: The word “epic” doesn’t usually apply to your average porn movie, but it fits Operation: Desert Stormy in every sense. For starters, the plot is ambitiously elaborate. Written in the mold of a ’90s action thriller that might star Arnold Schwarzenegger, the movie finds a husband-and-wife team fighting to quash a Middle Eastern warlord’s scheme for world domination. (Yes, Desert Stormy definitely comes from porn’s big-budget era, if you couldn’t already tell.) The cast is also epic, starting with title star and director Stormy Daniels in what is undoubtedly one of her most iconic and best-remembered roles. Even the non-sex roles feature familiar faces, including the legendary Ron Jeremy as the central Saddam Hussein-inspired villain.
